Instant Messaging at Fairfield
This week we are launching IM reference at our library. We decided to go with GAIM, originally because UNC has some great documentation for configuring it for centralized logging. But, we couldn’t get that to work, and now we’re not sure if we are going to keep transcripts at all. I came up with a list of default settings that work for us, and that documentation is in a word file here. Once we’ve done an initial assessment in a couple of weeks, I’ll write up a summary.
